Virtual GP Recruitment Event

Saturday 21st November 2020
10.30am – 12.30pm

We are hosting a free virtual recruitment event for GPs.  Whether you decide to join us on the day to meet GPs from across the west of Dumfries & Galloway, or you decide to apply directly to the practices, please see this as the first warm welcome on behalf of the Primary Care teams to our region.

CAMHS Consultant

Are you a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist? NHS Dumfries & Galloway could be the place for you! With beautiful scenery, an excellent work-life balance and an opportunity to work as part of a small team, this is a great time to join NHS D&G.

The postholder will provide clinical leadership and psychiatric input to multi-disciplinary teams of specialist healthcare professionals within D&G CAMHS. This role provides the opportunity to make a big impact on service design. This includes development of a new assessment and diagnostic service for children and young people with neurodevelopmental conditions.

Acute Physician Consultant

We are looking for a Consultant in Acute Medicine to join our existing team in providing clinical leadership within our Combined Assessment Unit at Dumfries & Galloway Royal Infirmary. Joining a small team at DGRI, this Consultant position will support the provision of service in Acute/General Medicine. With a great work-life balance, a real team atmosphere and an opportunity to make an impact on service design, this could be the perfect position for you.

Staff Nurse - Neonatal Unit

Are you a registered General or Paediatric Nurse looking for a new challenge? Do you enjoy working in a fast paced environment? We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated nurse to join our Neonatal Unit based at Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary.   

This role is 34.5 hours per week (0.9 WTE) fixed term for 12 months and is a great opportunity to help strengthen the Neonatal nursing team on the Unit.  If you have a passion for improving the health and wellbeing of our babies and families, this could be the job for you!

We are looking for someone who has the enthusiasm to embrace change, resilience when working with complex families and someone who shares our Core values of Compassion, Openness, Respect and Excellence.

Paediatric Specialty Doctor

Applications are welcome for a Specialty Doctor post in Paediatrics, working 10 sessions per week at Dumfries & Galloway Royal Infirmary. The post-holder will be working a resident 2nd on-call rota as part of a rota shared with other Specialty Doctors and ST3 trainees. The post holder will be expected to undertake a mixture of duties to include acute assessment, resuscitations and care of the children and neonates within DGRI. In addition, there will be commitments to general paediatric outpatient work or community paediatric work depending on successful applicant’s experience. The successful applicant will be encouraged to develop special skills, be involved in specialist services and take an active part in service review and implementation of service development
