Climate Week 2024
Scotland’s Climate Week is running from September 22 to 29.
NHS Dumfries and Galloway is part of this global effort, committed to becoming a Net Zero organisation by 2040 – meaning that by that point it will not contribute to carbon emissions.
A wide range of activities take place within our organisation every day as part of the work towards this goal, from how we manage our waste and recycling to how we promote usage and disposal of medications, and our transition to a fleet of electric vehicles.
A range of content focused on NHS Dumfries and Galloway’s work will be appearing in the media and on social media over the next five days.
Please watch this introductory message by Director of Finance and Executive Champion for Climate Change, Katy Kerr, talking about the wide range of work that is taking place.
