Patient Hub

NHS Dumfries and Galloway have been pioneering the use of technology to send most hospital appointments digitally. Since September 2021 appointments have begun to be sent via PatientHub, a secure system that allows patients to receive their appointment details on their; smart phone, tablet or laptop/PC.

The video below explains why we have made this change and how the system works for patients.

As this PatientHub is now NHS Dumfries and Galloway’s default method of communication, where it is available, patients do not need to do anything to receive their appointments in this way. If we hold your mobile number or email address on our system we will automatically send your appointments digitally. If we do not hold your mobile number or email address, or you don’t accept your appointment within 48 hours, you will still receive your appointment by post.

How to use PatientHub

The text message or email we send will include a secure link to PatientHub. You can access the PatientHub on your smartphone, tablet or laptop/PC.

You log in to your account using your mobile number or email address and your date of birth. You will then be sent a secure verification code to your mobile or email address. You do not need a username or password.

The video clip and guides below shows how the system will look when you receive your appointment.
