NHS Dumfries & Galloway

Volunteering Opportunities during Covid-19

During this very fluid period of time NHS Dumfries and Galloway will require a bank of Covid Response volunteers.  This role will mainly be to chat with patients on the Wards in the evening which will help reduce isolation and loneliness.  If you are interested in being on our bank of  Covid Response volunteers please complete the application form and we will contact you for a telephone interview.  Those who are suitable for this role will then be invited to our next Fast-track Induction Training.

There is an estimated 6,500 directly engaged volunteers supporting the work of NHS Scotland, approximately 200 of which are directly engaged within NHS Dumfries and Galloway.                                    During Covid 19 we have an excellent team of about 50 Covid Response Volunteers.

Please note volunteering should not be viewed as a work placement and such requests must be raised through the Learning and Educational team and not Volunteering services.
