NHS Dumfries & Galloway

Consultation starts on revised Integration Scheme

The Dumfries and Galloway Integration Scheme is the document that lays out the local arrangements for the integration of health and social care services – delegated from the NHS Dumfries and Galloway Board and NHS Dumfries and Galloway Council to the Dumfries and Galloway Integration Joint Board.

The Council and NHS Board have recently agreed changes to their Integration Scheme. These changes are that:

· The Integration Joint Board will have responsibility for the planning and delivery oversight of all health services that must be delegated to them by the NHS Board. Responsibility for the planning and delivery of all other health services will sit directly with the NHS Board.

· There will be a reduction in the number of voting members on the Integration Joint Board from ten (10) voting members to eight (8 ).

Please see the link below to see these changes tracked in a draft revised Integration Scheme.

If you have any comments that you would like to make about the revisions in the document, please contact Vicky Freeman at Vicky.freeman2@nhs.scot before 7th November 2025.
