Occupational Therapy Recruitment Event

During the month of March the Workforce Sustainability Team joined forces with AHP – Occupational Therapy, Acute, Mental Heath and Community and held a Recruitment Drive for Newly Qualified OT and those looking for a change in their career path.

We had a fantastic response from our Social Media Campaign, and working closely with Universities across the region.  We even had a visitor from Leicester!

Acute, Community and Mental Health were able to show case their job families to the maximum, as well as our visitors learning about NHS Dumfries & Galloway and our beautiful surrounding areas.

A great day was had by all.

The long awaited spacious ophthalmology unit comprises modern consulting rooms, bright and relaxing waiting areas for patients, and for staff an improved clinical working environment and dedicated change and rest areas.

Two weeks before opening day the ophthalmology team at Mountainhall gathered to bid a fond farewell to Ward 17 (former Ophthalmology Unit) and to celebrate the new.

Retired and former staff attended the event making it even more of a momentous occasion. Among the guests were clerical staff, nursing staff, and doctors Bedford, Power and Stoddart.
