How to get involved
Our Women’s Network is growing year on year and we welcome anyone identifying as a woman who is currently employed or studying within our Health and Social Care Partnership. The Health and Social Care Leadership Group encourage members’ managers to release them for one hour each month to attend Staff Network meetings and we’ll get in touch with your manager, with your permission, about this if you would like us to.
There’s a Women’s Network meeting every 6 weeks on Teams; these meetings focus on taking forward the business of the Network. If you’re interested in playing an active role, we’d love your input into the meetings. There are also opportunities to get involved in our executive committee if you would like to.
We also offer regular ‘Let’s Talk’ sessions on Teams, which are opportunities for members to get together and chat informally around a particular theme.
The Network also offers additional opportunities to get together to participate in learning opportunities and wellbeing and social events and to get involved in activities aimed at improving the workplace for women. You may feel too busy to participate in Network meetings or that our social and learning events are not for you at the moment. Many of our members choose simply to receive regular updates via our mailing list, to keep abreast of what’s going on.

“I joined the Women’s Network to connect with other women within the organisation. Chairing the network has enabled me to advocate for women and promote their wellbeing across NHS Dumfries and Galloway.”

Lynne

“It’s great to chat with other women outside of my team and look at a range of topics to support women in the work place or as they say in Scotland have a Blether.”
