We have become aware of a number of new cases of coronavirus infection in the Annan and Gretna areas in the last couple of days. Social distancing, good hand hygiene, and following Government guidance about mixing with others can help prevent any further spread within our community.
In response the D&G Health and Social Care Partnership, working closely with the Scottish Government, have arranged for additional testing facilities for the public in Annan and Gretna in the coming week. This will be expanded if we become aware of wider spread in the region.
Members of the public with symptoms are encouraged the register for a test first at
https://www.nhs.uk/ask-for-a-coronavirus-test – however, due to the rapid introduction of these additional test sites members of the public can also register on arrival at the testing sites.
Anyone who is concerned about symptoms should get advice through the www.nhsinform.scot/ website or by phoning NHS-111. To help identify any possible new cases of coronavirus infection and help prevent wider spread we are encouraging any members of the public who have symptoms of coronavirus (a cold or flu like illness – including a new cough, high temperature, or loss of smell) to arrange testing.
