Update on mobile testing

Mobile testing for COVID-19 is now available for more residents of Dumfries and Galloway. Other key workers (including food chain, transport, delivery, essential manufacturing, etc – full list at https://www.gov.scot/…/coronavirus…/pages/who-can-be-tested/), those older than 65 years of age, and household members of both of these groups can be tested at one of the mobile testing units that are being staffed by the army throughout Dumfries and Galloway.

Testing for health, social care and Council staff continues to be delivered by the NHS at their testing sites in Dumfries and Stranraer.

Testing locations for the two weeks will be as follows:

Saturday 9th May – Sanquhar – Fun Pool, (Blackaddie Road Sanquhar DG4 6DB)

Sunday 10th May – Dumfries – DG1 Leisure Centre (Hoods Loaning, Dumfries DG1 2HT)

Monday 11th May – Stranraer – Ashwood House, (Stranraer, DG9 7JJ)

Tuesday 12th May – Annan – Annan Swimming Pool (St Johns Road, DG12 6AQ)

Wednesday 13th May – Thornhill – Community Centre/Library (Thornhill, DG3 5NW)

Thursday 14th May – Newton Stewart – Douglas Ewart High School (Corsbie Road, Newton Stewart DG8 6JQ)

Friday 15th May – Moffat – Station Park Car Park (Beattock Road, Moffat DG10 9HF)

Saturday 16th May – Dumfries – DG1 Leisure Centre (Hoods Loaning, Dumfries DG1 2HT)

Sunday 17th May – Dumfries – DG1 Leisure Centre (Hoods Loaning, Dumfries DG1 2HT)

Monday 18th May – Stranraer – Ashwood House, (Stranraer, DG9 7JJ)

Tuesday 19th May – Lockerbie – Harthill Depot (B7068, DG11 2SE)

Wednesday 20th May – Sanquhar – Fun Pool, (Blackaddie Road Sanquhar DG4 6DB)

Thursday 21st May – Castle Douglas – Market Street Car Park (Castle Douglas DG7 1AE)

Friday 22nd May – Langholm – Market Place (Langholm DG13 0QJ)

Saturday 23rd May – Dumfries – DG1 Leisure Centre (Hoods Loaning, Dumfries DG1 2HT)

Sunday 24th May – Dumfries – DG1 Leisure Centre (Hoods Loaning, Dumfries DG1 2HT)

Anyone requiring to be tested will need to book an appointment.

Anyone who falls into one of the categories above, and has symptoms of COVID-19 can book an appointment on the Scottish Government website (https://self-referral.test-for-coronavirus.service.gov.uk/).

As samples are tested in Glasgow, results will take a few days to be returned. Staff in NHS Dumfries and Galloway are unable to access test results before you have received them. Please do not phone asking for COVID-19 test results as we will be unable to help.
