NHS Dumfries & Galloway

Have you got what it takes to be a leader in the NHS and wider Health and Social Care Partnership?

We are recruiting to 3 x General Manager posts

Acute - Women's & Children's - Mental Health

Due to retirements of our long standing and much to be missed General Managers, we are in a unique position to be recruiting to multiple posts within our Senior Leadership team.

Many organisations may find this daunting however we see this as a great opportunity to appoint three new people who will bring with them new ideas, ways of working and enthusiasm to continue the amazing work already achieved by those leaving.

NHS Dumfries and Galloway is one of fourteen territorial health boards, based in the South West of Scotland.  Although we are one of the smaller health boards in Scotland with just over 4500 staff across its Corporate, Acute, Mental Health, Women’s and Childrens and Community Health and Social care services we are still able to heavily influence decisions made at a national level due to its close working relationship with national teams and Scottish Government.

Our Health board is one of the few boards that is coterminous with our local council. Through the creation of the Integrated Joint Board (IJB) for Health and Social Care all health and care partners whether they be public, private or third sector work together for the benefit of our community.

When you join NHS D&G you also join our H&SC partnership family, where quickly you will build a network of partners that all work to the same vision and strategic plan of improving our community’s lives.

Strategic Commissioning Plan 2022 – 2025

We strongly believe in recruiting the right people to fit our values of Compassion, Openness, Respect and Excellence and are striving to achieve a culture within our teams where continuous service improvement, staff wellbeing and being listened to is at the heart of what we do. If you feel these values and aims fit with your values and leadership style then we want to talk to you.
